Marisa + Anthony . Parker Palm Springs

Another incredible wedding, another amazing couple. Why are we so lucky? These two were so filled with love and playfulness. Such a beautiful bride, don’t you agree? Thier friends and family were so sweet and so genuine, (dream job for a photographer).  First off, they chose the most perfect venue in the world! “Everything is beautiful at the Parker“, even when a little rain comes to watch the festivities. Their florals and design were so rich and so fun, a really great job done by Joey at Artisan Floral. The music was rockin, the dance floor was packed until it was time to go home. Thanks so much Marisa & Anthony for letting me be a part of this memorable day. Love you guys! Here’s a few shots of what took place. Iwanted to post their WHOLE wedding! ENJOY.

Happy 2009!

OK, I know I’m about 20 something days late…

but this is how Tari and I welcomed the new year. Shooting an exquisite wedding at the chic & modern St Regis San Francisco. Brooke and John had an amazingly beautiful and of course fun wedding. Who couldn’t have a blast when the wedding reception is smack dab in the middle of a NYE celebration!

With boundless energy and creative brilliance, SiIllapere Events created an evening filled with the glamour of Old Hollywood…from Brooke’s vintage inspired shoes, dress & bird cage veil …. to the bow ties, hats, boas and all sorts of silly NYE props….these two really finished the year, and began their life together, with a appropriate bang! Our great friend and former Bride , Ali Berlin was their officiant, and she did an incredible job.

From the old fashioned photo booth to the great tunes, these guys did it right! So fun, so memorable, so lets check out a few shots …

B L O G, what does that stand for?

Perhaps it means “BackLog Of Gorgeous images?” Perhaps. So why dont I try to get you updated on some of those…

We have been so busy these days that the one item that falls through the cracks is this blog. NO MORE! Time to get it up to date. I will be sprinkling in some of the 2008 weddings and engagements as we cruise through 2009, but I will get them up! So lets start with a really fun engagement shoot we had recently in San Diego.

Hello Amy and Grant!

Their wedding in Lake Tahoe in March is going to be a beautiful one for sure. But for now they are living in San Diego, so that’s where we went for this fun shoot. Enjoy!

Laurie Loves Srikant

Laurie & Srikant had big plans for Saturday November 1, 2008 – unfortunately so did Mother Nature! It rained harder & longer than I can ever remember (and I am from the Midwest, where we got some serious rain) – but these two were still all smiles as they promised their lives & love to each other. From one hilltop to another – first the intimate family-only Hindu ceremony at their gorgeous home in Pacific Heights, and then the romantic and beautiful reception at Hilltop site at The Carneros Inn in Napa – these two created a day that was drenched in love.

After hoping for a break in the storm, so we could shoot editorial portraits of these two at some of their favorite spots, we all agreed that rather than make this gorgeous girl and her handsome husband traipse around in the elements (by this time it was raining sideways), we would plan a re-shoot day when the weather was more cooperative. We cant wait to see you guys again for some sunny shots! Thanks for including us and for lending us the umbrellas!

Jennifer Loves David

It has been a whirlwind jet-set couple of months for us – and it continues up until literally the last day of the year, when we shoot a big New Years Eve wedding bash in San Francisco – which is why we haven’t posted in soooo long. So thank you for your patience!

We had such a great time shooting this fun filled day at the Viceroy in Palm Springs. Jennifer & David are just about the most stylish couple we’ve ever met – which makes sense given she works at Manolo Blahnik & they live in Las Vegas. (I have to point out that in September we shot a wedding where Rachael wore the shoes that were stolen from Carrie Bradshaw at the baby shower and then, in October we shoot Jennifer who has the blue shoes from the SATC movie – I told Albert I think the Universe is trying to tell me something!!)

Anyway back to the wedding day: Jen & David are the proud parents of not one, not two, not three, but FOUR adorable chihuahuas!!! Beefy, Sasha, Mika & Lola! They were so cute! Albert had to remind me that the pups (and shoes!!) weren’t the only things to shoot that day. Jen & David are such dog lovers that they used photos of their children (I mean, umm, pets) for the name cards & table markers. Adorable!

And Jen was so fun to shoot – this girl keeps up on her super sexy fashion poses – thanks to one of her favorite shows America’s Next Top Model.  She was such a trooper out in the 100 degree heat of the desert – workin’ the poses like a pro! Tyra would’ve been proud! Thanks for letting us be part of your day – give the pups a snuggle from us!

Jen loves Brian

We spent our six year wedding anniversary at our new favorite winery, Sherwin Family Winery in St. Helena. No not drinking, instead we were photographing a stunning wedding!

Jen & Brian exchanged their sweet “I do’s” under the setting sun, in front of a pond on Jen’s family’s vineyard. It was a fantastic affair complete with the very best catering team from Paula Le Duc, unbelievable floral creations by Grant & Co., and the wine country’s wedding goddess, Kristi Amoroso. It was an fairytale-enchanted-forest-meets-winery-on-a-mountain-top setting, unlike any we’ve seen before! Perfect in every way!

Jen wore an amazing dress, which is now my favorite of the year, from Haute Bride in San Francisco — and for the reception she changed out of her sweet satin bridey shoes and in to her cowgirl boots! I mean they hired DJ Tendaji to come all the way from LA– so this bride wanted to be able to shake it in style! Love her!

Actually, I love all the Sherwin women. Mom Linda was stunningly beautiful, super sassy, fun & so sweet to us! Sister of the bride & MOH Lindsey is so adorable, was for sure the best dancer at the party, and hooked us up with wine & home-made chocolate chip cookies for bedtime, when we left.

No wonder Brain was such a happy guy. He is surrounded by great gals!!

Rachel loves Mike

We shot a fantastic wedding Sunday at the Harvest Inn in St. Helena. Mike & Rachel are a super fun & talented couple, who not only hosted a weekend long celebration for all their friends and family — but finished off the wedding reception by performing “Forever Young” for their parents. Mike was a keyboard player in a band after college back in New York, and Rachel has a gorgeous singing voice. It was so sweet watching them serenade their parents.

The perfectly designed festivities were planned by the dynamic duo from A Savvy Event. We cant wait to work with Kelly & Emarie again! It was such a gorgeous day, from the hundreds (if not thousands) of chocolate cosmos and hydrangeas everywhere, to the candleabras hanging from the oak trees.

There were two incredible cakes by Inticing Creations. The bride & groom are avid world travelers, so one cake was a custom creation of stacked luggage. And the groom’s cake – which Mike had a really really hard time cutting – was of Mr. Met himself.

We also got to spend their rehearsal dinner with them at the Cuvaison Wine Caves, where we enjoyed ourselves so much, we ended up leaving with a case of wine!

And how can you not love a bride who gets married in not just any old Manolos – but a pair often seen on the uber glam gal Carrie Bradshaw?! Rachel has great taste all around: in her shoes, her dress, her location, her caterer, her coordinators, her cake – but especially her man! We wish them the best and cant wait to watch their life together unfold.
